For some time now, Lake Superior State University, located in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan (for those of you not familiar with the geography, dat’s in da U.P., eh) has annually compiled a list of words that, in a previous given year, came to prominence or over-use and that, in the eyes of wordsmiths deserved to be banished (I remember hearing of this list on The David Newman Show, which aired for many years on local talk-radio stations like WJR).
On Dictionary.com, I found the list for 2013, and would add to the list the expression to which reference is made in the title of this posting.
In, among other settings, business, is it not important to be original in how you express yourself? Set yourself apart.
