CEO’s Also Know The Taste Of Shoe Leather

Sticking one’s foot in one’s mouth can happen to almost anybody who has something publicly to say. (This admission comes from someone who really knows what the taste of a Reebok is really like.) 

CEO’s are not immune to saying different and bizarre things on the record. This past week, Whole Foods Co-founder and CEO John Mackey was promoting his new book and talking about the policies of the Obama Administration, and chose a comparison that many of his most loyal customers found quite unfavorable.  Of course, there’s nothing like a quick Mia culpa and a ‘what I really meant was …’ to unruffle the ruffled feathers …
