Canadian Money is a new spin on “Paper or Plastic.”

Canada, the nation that brought us one dollar coins (loonies) and two dollar (toonies) coins and has decided to  eliminate pennies is once again in a national currency controversy.

The Bank of Canada is issuing denominations above $20 on polymer stock. The intent is to make the bills last longer and forgery resistant.  The plastic bills have not been effective in vending machines, been accused of melting under heat and just don’t feel right to the Canadian populace.
